In this article, we present a case which we have experienced both as very challenging as well as very rewarding. The patient presented with a so called V-shape. Some surgeons also call this an inverted shape. In a V-shape, the pelvis is wider than the hips giving the impression of a V. Further, the buttocks were very small with a limited skin envelope, which did further complicated placement of a large volume graft.
These are somewhat difficult cases to correct. We performed very intensive liposculpture especially in the area of back, flanks and waistline. 1200cc of fat graft was injected into each buttock. The picture shows the patient a little bit less than two months after the procedure. The patients’ body shape has changed completely. This case is a good example for the enormous potential of Brazilian butt lift surgery.
Further retraction of the back skin is to be expected, but bearing in mind how much fat was removed from that part the achieved retraction is excellent. We have planned a second session of fat grafting about one 9-12 months post Op. This would enable the patient to achieve an even more favorable shape.
